Vicky Brock, Highland Business Research co-founder, also lead a session of the Web Analytics Association's new Base Camp Workshop Series. Vicky chaired the Introduction to Web Analytics workshop day which took place in Washington DC on Sunday October 14, 2007.

Vicky says "It is a great honour to be able to take part in the new Base Camp Workshop Series. There is a great demand for web analytics education and training worldwide and these new WAA training sessions will go a long way in supporting those working in web measurement."

Web Analytics Association Launches Base Camp Workshop Series Providing Website Measurement Education for All Levels

The Web Analytics Association (WAA) today announced the WAA Base Camp, a series of one-day web analytics workshops that offer valuable information for newcomers, current practitioners and veterans alike, providing a solid foundation in website measurement, with authoritative course materials taught by industry experts.

The first workshop, Introduction to Web Analytics, is geared toward new web analytics professionals and managers, and provides a place to get grounded in the basics. Attendees learn the definition of web analytics and associated terms, how to get started, what to expect, necessary skills and technologies, and potential hurdles and hazards. The workshop provides a foundation and prepares attendees for the more advanced areas of analysis and optimization.

The Online Marketing Campaign Optimization workshop targets those responsible for driving traffic to a website through online advertising, search or email marketing. The workshop gives attendees the knowledge necessary to measure and manage online campaigns and shift spending to maximize ROI. Covering metrics, terminology, click fraud, email and rich media, among other topics, this workshop takes analytics to the next level.

Web Analytics for Site Optimization is a workshop for publishers and marketers who face the challenge of making websites more effective. This workshop delves into the business goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of site optimization, and explores the available tools and processes needed to make it all work. Attendees walk away with tips and techniques that increase engagement and improve navigation and conversion rates.
