Latest tourism research underway

Kinross-shire is the latest area for which HBR is investigating tourism trends, visitor profiles and development opportunities

Highland Business Research is conducting tourism research in Kinross-shire for Perth and Kinross Council and VisitScotland. The project aims to establish benchmarking data for use by local organisations and businesses.

The aim of the research is also to provide a valuable picture of the current visitor profile and define area opportunities that can support local development and toursim marketing plans in the area.

HBR also recently completed tourism research for VisitScotland and Perth and Kinross Council, which focussed on the Blairgowrie and East Perthshire area. The project involved intercept interviews with visitors, a tourism provision audit and online surveying of local businesses.

The profiling and the development of defined visitor segments within the research should allow tourism businesses to improve their delivery to the demands of the specific visitor base that has been identified.
